Father’s Day falls on the first day of September this year and plenty of local restaurants are dialling up the fun to make your Dad’s day delectable.

Folly’s Bar and Bistro

Folly’s at Cammeray has levelled up a classic with this year’s Fathers Day specials. For $30, treat dad to a Sunday roast with 12-hour, slow-roasted beef brisket served with roast potatoes, asparagus, Dutch carrots, brussel sprouts with bacon jam, Yorkshire pudding and red wine gravy (or the limited edition porchetta with all the trimmings). It will be open for both lunch and dinner sittings until sold out, with a special menu also available for the kids.

The Botanist

A Kirribilli gem, the Botanist promises to spoil the father figures in your life with a complimentary Young Henrys schooner with every booking. For food, the regular menu will be up for offer, including three tasty options in the steak menu; Grass fed tenderloin, Angus flat iron steak and Wagyu scotch fillet.

Loulou Bistro

Over two days, Dads are set to be spoiled with Milsons Point’s Loulou’s in-house and take home specials. Head Chef Ned Parker is cooking up a storm with an à la carte menu featuring grilled octopus with piperade, beef bourguignon and steak frites pour deux – all with a complimentary cocktail or mocktail on arrival.

For those looking to celebrate in the comforts of their own home, Loulou’s finish-at-home pack includes four Toulouse sausages, four small baguettes, caramelised onion chutney, fresh leaves and a medium size burnt Basque cheesecake for $70. For the sweet tooths, the French bistro is also offering a Tonka-filled gourmet chocolate cigar for $12 each.

Rag and Famish

September 1 sees the oldest pub in North Sydney transformed into an all-day celebration for dads. Treat him to a Sunday roast with all the trimmings, plus a tinny, for $35 from 12pm until sold out.

Tinnies will also be available for takeaway.

The Greens

For those who are a little more active, The Greens is offering a speciality Fathers Day dish plus free Barefoot Bowls all day. Dad will be treated to a Tennessee Beef Rib dish and a pint of Heineken for $29 – with a keepsake glass to take home!

The Union Hotel

The recently renovated Union Hotel is looking to celebrate all Dads with a delicious steak dinner over two days. A 300g scotch fillet is plated up with your choice of two sides and a sauce for 20 bucks, whilst a schooner of Stone and Wood Pacific Ale and Hahn Superdrys are going for only $7.50.

Sails

A beautiful view with a delicious meal – what better than Sails Lavender Bay for a memorable Fathers Day. Lunch will be served from midday with a four course set menu with sides for $155 per adult and $55 per child, aged 12 and under.

From tuna and kingfish mosaic to glazed short rib and blood orange mousse, there is something for everyone.
