The Twilight at Taronga 2025 Summer Concert Series has announced a line-up set to bring a variety of live music, comedy, and family entertainment across five weekends at Taronga Zoo Sydney, starting on Friday, 7 February. This popular event, held within the zoo’s unique harbour-side venue, doubles as a major fundraiser to support Taronga’s conservation efforts and the construction of Australia’s first dedicated Wildlife Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
Kicking off the series are DMA’S on 7 February, known for their raw energy, followed by The Cruel Sea on 8 February, delivering their signature Australian rock sound. Indie-folk favourites Boy & Bear will take the stage on 14 February, while Justine Clarke returns for the family-friendly Lil’ Twilight at 10 a.m. on 15 February, which includes free zoo entry for attendees. That evening, the Comedy Gala will feature performances from well-known comedians such as Joel Creasey, Georgie Carroll, and Dave Thornton.
Among other highlights, Peter Garrett and his band The Alter Egos will perform on 21 February, showcasing his career-defining presence and a more personal solo side. David Campbell will take to the stage on 22 February, performing his new show ‘Good Lovin’ and More’ in a tribute to 1960s soul and swing. Rock legends Spiderbait will perform on 28 February, with Middle Kids set to follow on 1 March.
The season wraps up with double-header performances by Baby Animals and Killing Heidi on 7 March and disco hits from annual favourites Bjorn Again on 8 March. A variety of opening acts, including Finnoguns Wake, Loose Content, and Karen Lee Andrews, will also support headline artists across the series.
According to Leila Davis, Divisional Director of Marketing, Comms and Fundraising, “Twilight at Taronga is more than just a magical night under the stars; it’s an opportunity to support Taronga’s critical conservation programs and truly make a difference for Australia’s unique wildlife. As you gather with friends to enjoy breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour and the sounds of talented Australian artists, know that your ticket has the power to protect and directly contributes to the creation of Taronga’s new wildlife hospital.”
The season’s artwork has been created in collaboration with Gomeroi artist Caitlin Trindall of Mirii Art, whose designs aim to celebrate and integrate Aboriginal culture.
Tickets for the general public go on sale on Monday, 4 November, with a pre-sale available to Twilight at Taronga and Taronga Zoo Friends members from 1 November. Pre-sale registration offers the chance to win an “Ultimate Twilight at Taronga & Wildlife Retreat Experience,” with details available at twilightattaronga.org.au.
