Get ready for a cracker of an afternoon this Sunday, 15 March, as St Leonards Park hosts the annual Sunset Series. The free event promises a good time for the whole family with live music, kids’ activities, and a perfect spot for a picnic this autumn.

The festivities, centred around the music shell off Miller St, will run from 3pm to 6pm. Beyond the top-notch live music, there’ll be family-friendly activities like face painting, roving bubbles, and a selection of food trucks.

The music shell is set to host a jam line-up, headlined by the renowned jazz group, The Pocket Trio, as they wrap up a massive 12-show, east coast tour. The trio features the serious talents of Performer, Arranger, and Composer Andrew Scott, along with powerhouse double bassist Maximillian Alduca and drummer Tim Geldens.

They’ll be joined by a line-up of stellar vocalists. Australian icon and multi-ARIA nominee Monica Trapaga, known for Play School and the Bananas in Pyjamas theme, is one of the nation’s best jazz singers and is set to perform. She’s joined by Sydney jazz scene staple Kate Wadey and talented singers Tilly Street and Edo Santini.

Kicking off the musical series are Feel The Manouche, who will be supporting the headliners with their distinctive gypsy jazz sound, served with a definite Australian twist.
