The Northside Produce Market, a key fundraiser for North Sydney Community Centre, will mark its 25th anniversary on Saturday, with a celebration at Ted Mack Civic Park. Since 1999, the market has connected residents with local farmers and artisans, serving as a focal point for the community and drawing patrons from across Sydney and beyond.

The milestone event will feature around 80 stalls, with vendors ranging from local food artisans to farmers as far afield as Orange. The market’s signature atmosphere will be enhanced by live performances from roving minstrels Sentosa Trio, followed by musician Declan Kelly at the Top Paddock. For families, activities include a treasure hunt with Little Bo Peep, while pet owners can register their dogs for a “Pawsome Award.”

ABC Radio’s Simon Marnie will broadcast live from the park, underscoring the event’s community spirit and highlighting the longstanding contributions of the market’s vendors. North Sydney Community Centre acknowledged the dedication of over 75 food producers who have been integral to the market’s appeal, adding that 25 years of “behind-the-scenes staff and volunteer efforts” have ensured its longevity.

Described as an essential market for fostering community ties, Northside Produce Market is celebrated for its “connection to the food we eat, to those who grow it and make it, and to the great outdoors.” The North Sydney Community Centre added, “Here’s to the next 25 years of supporting a happy, healthy, and well-fed community.”

The Northside Produce Market is accessible via Victoria Cross Metro, North Sydney train station, and nearby bus routes, with free bike tune-ups available for cyclists. Free parking will also be provided at Ridge Street car park.
