Mary’s will this month debut a week-long breakfast pop-up at its Victoria Cross venue in North Sydney, teaming up with Grumpy Donuts and Coffee Supreme to deliver a high-impact offering designed for morning commuters and brunch-goers alike.

Dubbed Wake the Hell Up, the activation will run from Monday 16 June to Sunday 22 June, serving a fast-turnover menu of limited-edition breakfast sandwiches, sweet and savoury hotcakes, filter coffee and signature Grumpy Donuts specials. It will be open from 7am weekdays and 8am on weekends.

“This is our thank you to North Sydney,” said Mary’s co-founder Jake Smyth. “Victoria Cross has welcomed us in, and now we’re bringing them the only thing we know how to do: killer food, real coffee, and zero morning pleasantries.”

Available all day, the menu features breakfast burgers and sandwiches on kaiser rolls or English muffins with combinations such as bacon, egg & cheese, chopped egg & cheese, and pork pattie with hash brown and smoked maple “sizzurp.” A vegetarian alternative with mushroom and smoked ketchup is also on offer.

A range of hotcake stacks will be available for dine-in, with options including maple-glazed fried chicken, chocolate chip with honeycomb butter, and Coffee Maple Syrup with Mary’s signature trashcan bacon. Weekend extras include bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys, along with cereal-inspired thickshakes in Coco Pops, Milo and Fruit Loops varieties.

Grumpy Donuts will launch an exclusive ‘Coffee Supreme Crunch’ flavour for the pop-up: a yeast-raised donut with Coffee Supreme icing, mocha crumb topping and chocolate drizzle. Other specials include the ‘Glazed and Confused,’ finished with Mary’s Trashcan Bacon.

Grumpy Donuts co-founder Elise Honeybrook said the new flavour “is bold and punchy to match the energetic vibes of our pals over at Mary’s — the ultimate flavour match made in heaven.”

Coffee Supreme, meanwhile, will serve its Big Joe filter blend — described by the roaster as a “smooth, juicy roast with notes of stone fruit, citrus and milk chocolate.”

To drive foot traffic early in the day, a $5 Coffee + Donut combo will be available throughout the week, with the first 50 each weekday given away free.

The collaboration is pitched as a celebration of bold flavour and shared values across all three brands, with Smyth promising “a big hit of no-compromise food and caffeine for the Victoria Cross crowd.”
