Savvy shoppers are in for a treat with Greenwood Hotel set to host its first ever Rooftop Vintage Markets on Saturday, August 3.

For one day only, the local hotspot will be transformed into a hub of live music, good food and a collection of handmade and secondhand goodies.

Grab a bargain from one of many local stalls and curated shop fronts offering up all things thrifty – from clothing, jewellery and handmade crafts to accessories and vinyls.

Getting a bit peckish? Bacon and egg rolls and a cup of coffee will be available from start to midday, with pub feeds from 11am.

Live music will kick off at 10am with DJs to take over the decks from midday to 4pm.

Locals are able to host their own stall with registration still open. Stall spacing will set you back $40 to $50 depending on size.

It comes as the area continues to blossom in anticipation of the Victoria Cross Metro Station opening.

To celebrate the area and showcase its local offerings, the station and surrounds are set to host the North Sydney Festival between 11am to 5pm on November 2.

There will be fun for the whole family to enjoy, with live music and shows on the main stage including renowned dance group Shaun Parker & Company performing their innovative hoverboard dance Hover.

A kids’ zone, including a storytime tent, will join various art workshops, roving performers, art installations and market stalls from local artisans.

Elizabeth Plaza will be transformed by an artist takeover.

Local businesses will be offering street dining and special in-venue programming with extended trading hours.

The festival is a part of the NSW Government’s Open Streets Program, which aims to inject vibrancy into the streets and help create thriving local places that support businesses, creative sectors and the community through events and activations.
