McDonalds has announced the launch of its limited edition merchandise and North Sydney locals are invited to be the first to get their hands on it.

Grimace – Big Mac lover and friend of Ronald McDonald – has landed in Australia with a range of goodies, including Grimace Fold-Down Silly Socks, McNugget Buddies Fold-Down Silly Socks and a Reversible Bucket Hat.

For $5.95, diners can rock some new socks or a new bucket hat for $9.95.

The range, embodying “good vibes and fun times”, will be available in store and on the Macca’s app from October 16 with 100 percent of profits going to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

It comes in the lead up to McHappy Day on November 16.

The largest annual fundraiser for RMHC, it raises funds to help seriously ill or injured children and their families while undergoing treatment or surgery in hospital.

$2 from every Big Mac sold will be directly donated.

“Australia – you asked and we delivered; Grimace has well and truly arrived and is helping us kick-start fundraising for the McHappiest time of the year like never before,” Licensee for McDonalds Australia Warwick Hokins said.

“Every year, we’re blown away by the kindness of our customers in the North Sydney community who give generously and show their support for seriously ill or injured children and their families.

He added: “It’s as easy as picking up your very own exclusive Grimace and McNugget Buddies merch or some Helping Hands alongside your Maccas order. Every contribution makes a huge difference to the lives of families in need.

“We can’t wait to paint the town with Grimace and McNugget Buddies fans across North Sydney, while helping raise funds for a cause very close to our hearts.”
