The streets of North Sydney are set to be transformed for the CBD After Dark on Friday 6th February, featuring a festival of food and music.

This inaugural event is designed to bring life to the CBD after business hours, running from 4 pm to 9 pm. The free, family-friendly event will be held in Brett Whiteley Place with activities for all ages. 

Finally some live music in North Sydney CBD! Here is the line up:

Ally George:

With over 1,000 monthly listeners and 300 followers on Spotify, Ally George has quickly become a darling of the Sydney Indie music scene. She blends elements of alternative pop, soft rock, and synth-rock, to create a dreamy sound that leaves audiences mesmerised. George said of her music it has “the inexplicable beauty of making people dance and cry at the same time,”

George has played on stages all around the country including at The Lakes Festival and Lighthouse Festival as well as playing iconic Sydney music venues like The Trocadero, Factory Theatre, The Landsdowne and Chippo Hotel. After dark, she will help to bring the CBD to life right here on the North Shore.

DJ Chubby Rae:

A familiar name on the Sydney circuit, Chubby Rae delivers a fluid blend of house, techno, and electronica. Hailing from Ireland, her sets are characterized by phat basslines, rolling rhythms, meaningful spoken word, sexy synths, and pulsating percussion. Chubby Rae has graced stages at events such as Return to Rio, Maniac Love, Subsonic, and various Burning Man camp fundraisers.

DJ Marley Hughes:

Best known for his distinctive blend of organic and afro house, electronica, percussion and orchestral influences, Marley Hughes is a Sydney-based DJ and producer. He also has releases on respected labels including Elebated Records, Café De Anatolia and The Purr Music. A rising star in the Sydney scene, Marley regularly plays at Return to Rio, on The Island alongside Double Touch, and at events such as Rêve and Sail Du Soul.

Four Hundred Bar & Kitchen: 

North Sydney’s self proclaimed “Mecca of margaritas, tacos” located next to the Greenwood Hotel. Four Hundred has established itself as one of the hottest Latin American restaurants in Sydney.

RAFI:

Located on Mount St, RAFI will be right at home after dark in North Sydney. Offering fresh and seasonal food inspired by the coastal elements of Sydney, there’s no doubt this local favourite will have some quality flavours to offer.

Ciabatta: 

Normally a brekky and lunch favourite for North Sydney customers, attendees will be able to enjoy Ciabatta’s Italian paninis and pastries, after dark.

Glorietta: 

One of the North Shore’s top fine dining Italian restaurants will be serving pizza and more, fresh from their wood-fired oven on Mount St.

Greenhouse Asian Salads: 

Normally a lunch time favourite for North Sydney’s office worker, Greenhouse will be tossing their signature, fresh salads for one night only.

Anita Gelato: 

World famous, you can find Anita’s signature gelato in New York, Barcelona, London, Cyprus, Mexico and as of 2014; Sydney. Now Anita jumps across the bridge to cool down Northsiders on what is expected to be a humid evening.

Firehouse Hotel: 

One of North Sydney’s favourite pubs since 2007 will have an Aperol pop-up bar, mixing refreshing spritz’ on a simmering summer night.
