Kirribilli is preparing to host its inaugural North Sydney Streets festival this November, an event celebrating community, music, and art. Scheduled for Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 12 pm to 5 pm, the free, all-day festival will see Broughton Street and its surrounding areas closed to traffic.
The event’s highlights include a distinctive pop-up roller skating rink in the Burton Street Tunnel, which usually houses the Kirribilli markets. Cue the disco lights and music! Instructors will be on hand to help anyone to get rolling.
The festival’s entertainment program will showcase a diverse array of local talent, including performances by the North Shore’s own Loud and Proud Choir, Neutral Bay’s Hummingbird Adult Pop Choir and Sydney Street Choir alongside acoustic sets, roving circus acts, and street theatre throughout the day. For families, children can participate in hands-on eco art workshops, with various performers adding to the vibrant atmosphere.

Kirribilli’s local cafés, restaurants, and businesses will spill out onto the street, creating an alfresco dining experience. Small gallery openings and a photography exhibition are set to add a cultural and artistic dimension to the day. Additionally, the Harbour Trust will present “Sub Base Stories”, a 60-minute guided tour of Sub Base Platypus, providing historical insights a short walk from the main festival hub. Participating local businesses, including the Ensemble Theatre, will offer special menus, workshops, and exclusive promotions on the day of the event.
This festival marks the first in a series of one-day activities planned across the North Sydney local government area for the summer, hoping to foster community engagement and create inviting public spaces.
