Gozleme, gelato, grass and GODETET means locals are in for a great time, as St Leonards Park prepares to host the Sunset Series. Not to mention the weather is looking pretty much perfect, with a sunny 24-degree day due.

On Sunday, 13 April, from 2 pm to 6 pm, the park will come alive with entertainment for all ages. GODTET, an instrumental group known for their unique blend of jazz, psychedelia and improvisation, is set to headline the event. The act has 110,295 monthly listeners and 15,536 followers on Spotify. They are fronted by guitarist and producer Godriguez, who produced Sampa the Great’s “The Great Mixtape”, including the song F E M A L E, which now has 11M listens on Spotify.

They will be joined by Blauhaus, an artist who is gaining a lot of attention in the Sydney music scene. The Sun caught up with Zigi Blau, the creator of Blauhaus, to find out more.

“My solo project Blauhaus is like a one-man band. Through live-looping synths, keys and beats, I fully improvise a set that often traverses many genres — from ambient to acid jazz”, Blau told The Sun.

He is also a huge fan of headliners GODTET. “These guys are all phenomenal players in their own right, and as a band, they have such a unique sound. I’ve long been a fan of their music; they’re true pioneers of Sydney’s underground groove scene”, Blau added.

Beyond the music, there will be plenty more going on, including a roaming bubble artist, a cricket demonstration by the North Sydney District Juniors Cricket Club, a craft station and, of course, food, including authentic Turkish gozleme and gelato.
