The Crows Nest Fest will return Sunday, 18 October. Each year, tens of thousands of visitors and locals flock to the suburb to enjoy live entertainment, local food, market stalls, family activities, community groups, artists and performers.

This year, the organising body behind the festival, Crows Nest Mainstreet, has launched Friends of the Fest, a new initiative designed to help ensure the viability of the event. Residents, businesses and festival-goers are encouraged to donate to help support the delivery of the Festival and contribute to keeping the event free and accessible for the wider community.

Currently, the festival is primarily funded by sponsorships, stallholder fees and support from North Sydney Council.

People can also help by sharing the campaign, encouraging local businesses to participate, and simply attending the Festival and supporting the many local traders, performers and community organisations that make the day possible.

“Friends of the Fest provides a meaningful way for supporters to play a part in preserving and growing one of Sydney’s most cherished community events,” Organiser Jo-Ellen Henderson told the Sun.

The 2025 edition of the Crows Nest Fest featured over 200 market stalls, attracted more than 50,000 attendees and had the largest footprint in the festival’s history.
