Lil Miss Collins has moved into 6 Willoughby Road, Crows Nest, bringing signature brunch offerings to the lower North Shore.

Founded by Tony Moussa and first launched in 2016 as a pop-up cafe in Prince Alfred Square in Parramatta, the site was designed to feel like a “rustic oasis” in an urban setting. Moussa then opened a second pop-up at the 200-year-old historic Bella Vista Farm.

Following the success of its pop-ups, Lil Miss Collins found a permanent location just 50 metres from Parramatta Station in 2017. Under the direction of hospitality entrepreneur Shweta Tandon, they expanded, opening new sites in Richmond and Westfield Burwood in 2018.

Now they have moved into the former site of Spice Guru in Crows Nest. Lil Miss Collins specialises in brunch foods blending Australian café culture with Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and South Asian flavours. They are especially renowned for their multi-tiered High Tea.

Unique to the Crows Nest site, they will also be offering dinner on weekends. Locals can expect a menu featuring their signature Ube Hotcakes, a stack with purple ube ganache, mascarpone cream, blueberry compote and dried rose petals. They also serve French Toast and New York style pancakes.

For more savoury options they offer a Mediterranean Plate, featuring Lebanese sausages or falafel, za’atar-spiced pita, harissa labneh, and roasted cauliflower as well as conventional brunch favourites like Avo on sourdough, and the Eggplant & Halloumi Stack layered with romesco and hollandaise.

Lil Miss Collins has its work cut out, with the site they are on struggling to maintain a consistent tenant since New Orleans Cafe closed in 2014. After New Orleans, Frappe moved in, followed by True Food, Turka and most recently Spice Guru.
