A 46-year-old woman is set to face court after being charged over a months-long alleged shoplifting spree across Sydney’s North Shore.

Following a probe by the North Shore Police Area Command, investigators allege the woman targeted at least six supermarkets and a department store across Neutral Bay, Chatswood, Crows Nest, St Leonards, and North Sydney.

The spree, which was first reported in March 2026, allegedly involved 13 incidents with a total estimated value exceeding $11,000.

The arrest took place at 9.50 am on Sunday, 26 July, near a supermarket on Christie Street, St Leonards. Officers reportedly seized a shopping trolley containing 68 tubes of toothpaste, 16 bottles of drink, and 13 pain relief gel products.

The woman was taken to Chatswood Police Station, where she was charged with 13 counts of shoplifting (for items valued at $2000 or less) and breach of bail.
