Neutral Bay Wharf will be closed from Friday, 14 November until Friday, 19 December 2025 for essential gangway replacement works. This project, undertaken by Transport for NSW Maritime, aims to enhance passenger safety and amenity.
Work will be carried out Monday to Friday between 7 am and 6 pm. However, the wharf will remain closed outside of these hours for the entire duration of the project. While some noise is expected, efforts will be made to minimise disruption.

Commuters are advised to use the 225 bus service, which departs from the ferry wharf and travels to Wycombe Road (near Military Road) for connections to city or Northern bus services. Alternatively, commuters can walk approximately nine minutes to Kurraba Point Wharf to catch a ferry.
Around the bay, Cremorne Point Ferry Wharf is closed for essential maintenance until Friday, 12 December 2025. Upgrades include a new gangway for safer boarding, a new pontoon roof for weather protection, and general structural improvements to ensure the wharf’s safety, reliability, accessibility, and long-term functionality.
