The NSW Liberal Party has reshuffled its shadow ministry, with North Shore MP Felicity Wilson and Willoughby MP Tim James both taking on new portfolios.

Wilson, who is approaching a decade in state parliament, has been appointed Shadow Minister for the Environment alongside her existing portfolio responsibilities, which include Women, Aboriginal Affairs, and Early Education.

“I’m looking forward to getting back into the environment portfolio, an area I had the privilege of serving in under the Berejiklian Government as Parliamentary Secretary,” Wilson said in a statement.

The North Shore MP has also been elevated to Manager of Opposition Business in the Legislative Assembly, responsible for managing the strategy, tactics, and day-to-day operations of the Coalition on the chamber floor.

Member for Willoughby Tim James has also been promoted, taking on a new role as Shadow Special Minister of State, scrutinising government and public sector operations.

James said his priorities will be “promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability in government, and supporting our strong integrity institutions.”

The Willoughby MP will remain Shadow Minister for Veterans, Fair Trading, Work Health and Safety, and Building. However, as a result of the reshuffle, James will hand the Local Government portfolio to Adam Crouch.

“I thank the many mayors, councillors, council staff, and sector representatives who have worked with me. Visiting councils across NSW and hearing directly about their communities’ priorities has been a highlight of the role,” James said in a statement.
