Cremorne Bay Wharf repairs remain pending as complications arise surrounding the installation of a new roof.
Work began in mid-2022 after the roof was damaged by poor weather conditions.
“Transport for NSW initially intended to install a temporary roof by the first quarter of 2024,” a TfNSW press release reads.
“Our preliminary investigations have identified that due to the complexities of the roof design and its performance in all weather conditions, the installation of a temporary structure at this location is equally as complex as a permanent solution.”
The new design still needs to undergo further data analysis and wind modelling testing and is in the process of being expedited.
TfNSW will provide a progress update later in the year.
