Ingram Micro has established a new Australian headquarters in North Sydney, joining a commercial district within Sydney’s Eastern Economic Corridor that contributes an estimated $23b to the NSW economy. The area is characterised by high levels of employment in professional, scientific and technical services, information media and telecommunications, and financial services.

Major global technology firms including Microsoft, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks and Lenovo already operate in the precinct. The district also hosts a range of local IT resellers and service providers such as Data#3, Precision IT, Lab3, MCR IT, Infosys, HCLTech, ICT Networks and L2X. Ingram Micro supplies these companies and others with logistics, financing, marketing, training and cloud and cyber capability.

North Sydney Council mayor Zoë Baker welcomed the move, saying: “It is wonderful to see a business so central to the technology landscape make North Sydney home. Businesses like Ingram Micro strengthen our reputation as a hub for innovation, creativity and economic opportunity. World-class technology companies bring energy, opportunity and jobs, and Ingram Micro Australia’s decision to join our community underscores our position as one of Australia’s most desirable business locations.”

The company has taken premises at 40 Mount Street, a building with a 6-star Green Star Office Design and As Built rating and a 3-star Performance rating. Other tenants include Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Lenovo, Gartner and ARN. The property, part of the Investa Commercial Property Fund, also carries a 5.5-star NABERS energy score and a 4.5-star NABERS water score.

Ingram Micro noted that the building aligns with its “10 to Zero” program, which sets internal targets for emissions, waste and workplace safety by 2030. The company received a Platinum sustainability rating from EcoVadis in 2024 and 2025.

The new head office is about 40 minutes from the company’s Advanced Logistics Centre at Eastern Creek. The 40,000sqm facility manages more than 15,000 active product lines and has capacity to process over one million cartons per week for national dispatch.

Ingram Micro said the relocation, combined with its logistics and national field presence, supports its operations in cloud, cyber security, AI and distribution across the Australian market.
