Northern Suburbs Rugby have announced Jimmy Greenslade as their new General Manager. Greenslade is no stranger to North Sydney Oval, having played first grade cricket for North Sydney and Mosman.
Professionally, Greenslade has been working as a compliance officer at Wilson Advisory since 2023 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney.
In a statement Norths said “Jimmy’s mix of corporate, sporting, and club experience will allow him to pick up where previous GMs have been able to get to and take the club to the next level. Jimmy is also very keen on improving awareness and support structures around the club for Players and Members in respect of wellbeing – a topic he is undertaking further study in.” On the rugby field Greenslade was a Norths Junior, Colt and recently played in 4th grade as well as coaching in Colts.

Greenslade said of his appointment: “as a player, coach, and fan, I feel a deep sense of connection to the Club, and my passion for the place and its people will drive me to continue building on its strong history.”
On the state of the game in 2025, Greenlade remarked “It’s an exciting time for rugby in Australia, with the Olympics and Rugby World Cup on the horizon. I believe there is huge potential for growth, particularly at the club level.” adding “It’s been fantastic to see so many Norths players go on to achieve higher honours in recent years, and I have no doubt there will be many more to come. I can’t wait to work with the players, coaches, support staff, and our wider community to help this club thrive as we enter an exciting new chapter.”
Norths’ Grade, Colts & Women top sides have already begun preseason preparation, starting back on November 18.
In other news, the club has named Hugh Sinclair as their Colts coach for 2026. Sinclair won the Shute Shield Premiership with Norths in 2016 and played seven years with the NSW Waratahs, including a final game as Captain of the NSW Waratahs in their narrow loss to the British and Irish Lions.

“My rugby career started in 3rd Colts with Norths and the support and development I received from my coaches through to 1st grade helped me develop into a professional rugby player and compete against some of the world’s best players. I’m keen to pass on some of my experience and skills to the next generation of players that choose Northern Suburbs to help them explore a professional rugby career and as they step away from school into the next stage of their lives.” Sinclair said.
