The annual Indian Festival of Lights is coming to North Sydney with an evening of fun, food and cultural celebrations.
On October 27, Bradfield Park will be transformed from 5-8pm for the 25-year celebration of the Deepavali Festival.
Meaning ‘rows of lights’, the festival symbolises victory of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance.
Activities will include a Ramayan Presentation, rides, music and cultural performances alongside a diverse range of vegetarian-based cuisines.
“For twenty-five years, the Hindu Council of Australia has been uniting our community in celebration, and it is with immense joy that we present to you the ’25th Deepavali Celebration – Deepavali 2023: Festival of Lights,” a spokesperson said.
“Let us gather at Bradfield Park, Milsons Point, and kindle the flames of Deepavali in our hearts.”
“Come and be a part of this magnificent celebration of light and culture!”
The festivities are free to join for the whole family.
