The best street fair on the North Shore is back this spring, set for Sunday 15 October. Crows Nest village streets will be closed to traffic to make way for live music, games, food and even a petting zoo!
The street festival has seen massive crowds averaging from 20,000 to 30,000 in recent years.
Food Alley is back and bigger than ever with local joints serving up specials, plus unique stalls serving up unique foods from almost any cuisine you can think of. Crows Nest institution Xenos will be running ‘Greektoberfest’, an outdoor pop up bar.
Big Music will plug in and turn it up on the live music stage at Ernest Place, while the local school bands and dance groups will be popping off on Holtermann St.
The new Hume St Plaza will be activated as the Kids Zone featuring a circus playground with juggling toys, stilts, unicycles, spinning and balancing acts.
JoEllen Henderson from Crows Nest Mainstreet can’t wait to open up the celebration: “This festival encapsulates the vibrant culture and strong sense of community that defines Crows Nest now in its 32nd year. With fun activities, delectable food, and captivating entertainment, we aim to create an unforgettable free community event for families and friends.”
There will be more details to come, which we will cover at the Sun. So stay tuned online or look out for our next print edition.
