A second teenager has been arrested and charged as police continue to investigate a series of alleged crimes across the North Shore.
The investigation follows a reported crime spree between May and June 2026, during which tobacconists in Neutral Bay and Crows Nest were targeted. Officers received numerous reports of multiple break and enters, thefts, and assaults, prompting a dedicated police response to identify those responsible for the wave of criminal activity.
Most recently, a 17-year-old boy was taken into custody at Chatswood Police Station on Thursday night, 30 July. His arrest follows the earlier arrest of a 15-year-old boy, at a home in Dee Why on Wednesday, 22 July 2026.
The 15-year-old has been hit with a list of charges related to the incidents, including, remaining in a building or on land with intent to commit an indictable offence, stealing, two counts of aggravated break and enter to commit a serious indictable offence in company and involvement the theft of property valued at more than $60,000. Both teens were charged with robbery in company and assault of a retail worker.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing as police work to determine if any other individuals were involved in the spree.
