The Botanica Gin and Spirits returns to Waverton, bringing gin, vodka, rum, whisky, liqueurs and much more from 25 of Australia’s finest boutique distillers to the tunnels of the Coal Loader.
Attendees can enjoy some of the nation’s best local distilleries over nine sessions on May 22, 23, and 24. Each ticket includes a 2.5-hour journey through a Coal Loader tunnel and chambers, gin and spirits sampling from 25 Australian distilleries, immersive installations, boutique vendors, and access to event-only special offers.
The lineup of distilleries features St Leonards’ own Finders Distillery. Distillers from across NSW include Bondi Liquor Co, North of Eden (Stoney Creek), Banks & Solander (Botany), Karu (Grose Vale), Ester Spirits (Newtown), and Bowral’s Millsheds Distillery, all serving up samples.

Offerings from around Australia include White Oat Distillery, Great Ocean Road Gin, Noble Bootleggers Distillery, Gindu, Prohibition Liquor Co, and 7K Distillery.
Food will also be on offer, including native-inspired dishes such as burrata with lemon myrtle oil and native honey; porchetta, salsa verde, and native greens; or polenta chips with wattleseed aioli. Additionally, attendees can purchase botanical seasonings and relishes from White Feather Designs and bean and bar chocolate from Wembley’s Chocolate Makers.
The event is organised by Arclight Event Co who are also responsible for the Sunset Cinema at North Sydney Oval.
Tickets are now available at the Botanica Gin and Spirits Journey website.
