9 March 2026
Following the success of the Japanese Artisan Handcrafters Market last October, the event is set to make its return to the Crows Nest Centre on Saturday, March 21. The market will run from 9 am to 4 pm and promises an even grander experience, featuring over 40 stallholders and an expanded line up of activities.
The one-day event will offer a unique immersion into Japanese culture, presenting a diverse selection of foods, products, crafts, and interactive workshops.
A quick guide to the markets:
Retail Showcase:
The retail section will feature a variety of handcrafted goods. Shoppers can explore fabric and beaded accessories from YK Creative Studio, and macrame alongside crystal soap from Miho’s Handmade. The indoor space will house unique items such as box-type pouches from EE Treat and handmade stickers available from Stuck with Fron.

Food and Drink:
A delectable range of Japanese culinary treats will be available. Outdoor stalls will include Miss Okonomiyaki, serving Japanese savoury pancakes, Wamana with matcha and houjicha lattes, and Tea in Season offering a selection of Japanese and modern teas. The indoor area will host L’Eclair Patisserie for cakes and mochi, Izakaya Samurai with Japanese lunch boxes, and Freedom Pop-up, which specialises in Japanese iced coffee and baked goods.

Workshops and Cultural Immersion:
The market will also feature various workshops and cultural experiences for all ages. Activities include an Australian Bush Flower Essence workshop and mini iridology checks, both provided by Oneness Holistic Wellness & Healing. 33Tubo Ear Seeds will offer ear acupressure jewellery and dedicated kids’ activities. Attendees can learn Japanese calligraphy and origami from Renclub and Origami World, respectively. For food enthusiasts, Wamana will host Japanese sweets making, and Natural Ritsukitchen will share information on okome sweets.
