North Sydney Council has opened Expressions of Interest for artists, creatives, and studios to contribute to two significant community art projects in 2026: the festive summer season and the Pride Picnic.
These two opportunities, titled ‘Community Creative Christmas’ and ‘Pride Picnic,’ highlight the Council’s focus on creative placemaking and community-led cultural expression.

The Community Creative Christmas commission is looking for a lead artist or creative team to design and install temporary public artworks across community hubs. The Pride Picnic EOI invites an artist to develop a large-scale creative work or community engagement project for the 2026 event at Ted Mack Civic Park.
The Council encourages applications from individual artists, collectives, and creative studios, with particular encouragement for First Nations creatives, LGBTQIA+ artists, and those with a connection to North Sydney.
Expressions of Interest close on Friday, 13 March 2026, at 5 pm. Full details and application information are available on the Council’s website.
