The ballot positions for the state seat of North Shore have been released this morning, with seven candidates officially confirmed to be in the race.

The no 1 position has been drawn by Michael Antares of the Informed Medical Options Party.

Independent Helen Conway has drawn second position, followed by Labor’s Godfrey Santer and the Sustainable Australia Party’s Lachlan Commins.

James Mullan from the Greens has drawn 5th position.

Incumbent MP Felicity Wilson comes in at 6th and independent Victoria Walker is in the last position.

In a boost for Wilson, Mosman independent Simon Menzies has not gone ahead with his previously promoted candidacy. The former Mosman deputy mayor wanted to campaign on behalf of the Beaches Link Tunnel, which has been put on hold by the government. There were signs he had withdrawn last week when he removed a website promoting his candidacy.

Sportsbet has established a betting market for North Shore. It currently rates the Liberals as the favourite at odds of 1.77, equating to a 58% chance of winning. Helen Conway is on 2.00, Labor on 21.00 and the Greens on 51.00.
