Victoria Cross Tower has secured another tenant as the completion date draws closer for the $1.2 billion tower.
Ventia will be located across two floors, levels 26 and 27, in the 42-storey skyscraper that will be located directly above the highly anticipated metro station at 189 North Miller Street.
The essential infrastructure services provider was created in 2015 and services a broad range of industry segments, including defence, social infrastructure, water, electricity and gas, environmental services resources, telecommunications and transport from over 400 sites across Australia.
Ventia “intends to fit-out the modern workplace with a design that will promote collaboration and connection.”
It will take up part of the tower’s 58,000sqm of high-tech, flexible, premium grade office space that will house over 7000 workers.
Offices will include customisable floorplates designed by Bates Smart that allow maximum natural light and support collaborative working, also boasting views of some of the city’s major icons.
“Across our commercial portfolio, our tenant partners continue to seek workplace experiences that attract and retain the best talent and support productivity,” Lendlease’s Managing Director of Development Tom Mackellar said.
“Which is why we’re seeing a growing demand for premium-grade workplaces in prime locations that prioritise sustainability, flexibility and amenity.”
He added: “With doorstep access to transport and a focus on wellness and sustainability, Victoria Cross Tower represents the next generation of offices that high performing companies are looking for.”
Lendlease holds a 75 percent stake in the asset, having sold the balance to its flagship APPF Commercial in 2019.
The surrounding precinct will be home to 20 new retail and hospitality brands, such as Mary’s, Marrickville Pork Roll, Only Coffee, Top Impressions Bakery, Sushi Hub, DOPA, North Sandwiches, Machi Machi and McDonalds.
A new pedestrian laneway will be the heart of the development, anchored by Miller House.
Miller Street will include five new terrace restaurants, with 13 of the total food and beverage retailers located in the concourse and laneway.
Victoria Cross Tower is set to be completed in 2025.
